Toyota pulled off one of the surprises of the 2014 Detroit Auto Show by throwing the covers off their latest creation, the FT-1 Concept. The “Future Toyota”, which is what FT stands for, could very well be the next Supra Concept.

The fact that we’re running out of fossil fuels isn’t a joke. As a matter of fact, we’ve seen car manufacturers across the globe tighten the screws a bit, to achieve better fuel economy. And that is exactly what Toyota showcased at the Tokyo Motor Show last month.
When we went to the 2014 Toyota Corolla launch event in Dubai, the last thing we expected to see was the original 1966 model. Firstly, lets point out that Toyota isn’t doing all that bad in the Japanese taxi industry. However, their biggest rival at this point is Nissan, and in an attempt to overshadow the competition, Toyota is showcasing the new JPN Taxi Concept. The car was shown at the Tokyo Motor Show, and comes off as a riff on the legendary London Taxi.
The results of the 2013 Middle East Motor Awards were announced last evening at a ceremony on the Al Majaz Waterfront in Sharjah, hosted by Muhammed Ali Sajjad of the Expo Centre Sharjah. I was one of the 18 judges, although the cars were score and the points were tallied long ago, so were there just to hear who were the winners in each category, as well as Car Of The Year.

Al Futtaim Motors has just launched the 2014 Toyota Yaris Sedan in the UAE. It gets a completely new exterior design, but under the hood the same engine choices have carried over from the previous generation Yaris Sedan.
