Survived by some enthusiastic petrolheads, the Suzuki Jimny was one such car which was loved for its small body and agile off-road manners. This little machine was accepted so well that Suzuki has vented some money and time into it to come up with this entirely new generation of this tiny SUV.

Following the revealing of the the iV-4 at the Frankfurt Motor Show earlier this year, Suzuki yet again showed off a slew of concepts at the Tokyo Motor Show this year. We’re not exactly sure of what these might turn out to be in the future, but the Crosshiker, X-Lander and Hustler concepts certainly offers some ideas on their design direction for upcoming models.

Suzuki, a small player in the global car market, is celebrating 100 years of business on October 2009. German companies such as Audi are also celebrating 100 years in far grander fashion, and keep focusing on a handful of old innovations and motorsports victories while still not being able to build a reliable car. But Suzuki has successfully brought trustworthy transportation to the masses, influencing millions of lives, with everything from the Suzuki-Maruti 800 for lower-income people right up to the cheap Suzuki Samurai for budget offroaders.
