Lexus LX 470 2003-2007 models U.S. recall
The hits just keep on coming for Toyota, as they’ve announced yet another recall, this time covering 39,000 Lexus LX 470 4x4s built between 2003 and 2007.

Jaguar XF and XK 2010-2011 recall for V8 models
All 2010-2011 Jaguar XK and Jaguar XF models fitted with the 5.0-litre V8 are being recalled for a fuel starvation issue.
BMW 5-Series 2011 & Gran Turismo 2010 recall
The 2011 BMW 5-Series sedan and the 2010 BMW 5-Series GT, both barely out on the streets yet, have all been recalled for a faulty fuel gauge that shows more fuel than is really there. We had a Gran Turismo for testing recently, and while we didn’t have this problem, it’s probably a good thing we didn’t let it hover too close to empty.
Ford Explorer 2011 debuts as a crossover
After bothering people via a dedicated Facebook group for months, Ford has finally unveiled the all-new 2011 Explorer. As known earlier, the new Ford Explorer is based on the same platform that underpins the Taurus and the Flex, which unfortunately means the demise of the outgoing body-on-frame Explorer platform and its inherent off-road capabilities. Rather, Ford claims to “reinvents the Explorer SUV with best-in-class fuel economy, improved driving dynamics and terrain management system, all wrapped in a modern, weight-saving design.”
Mercedes-Benz CL63 & CL65 AMG 2011 models debut
The 2011 Mercedes-Benz CL-Class was recently unveiled, sporting a new front end with LED bumper lights and a mildly-changed rear end, with a couple of new engines. Now the AMG version of the 2011 CL has been released, in CL63 and CL65 guises, with two more new engines.
Renault appoints Gulf Advantage Automobiles for Saudi Arabia
Gulf Advantage Automobiles, a joint venture between Saudi Arabia’s Al Baazei and Suhail Bahwan Automobiles, has been appointed as exclusive distributors of Renault passenger cars and light commercial vehicles across the Kingdom following a signing ceremony held earlier today.
مبيعات مجموعة BMW الشرق الأوسط تسجّل ارتفاعاً بنسبة 13% خلال النصف الأوّل من عام 2010
توّجت مجموعة BMW الشرق الأوسط الأشهر الستة الأولى من عام 2010 بزيادة في المبيعات بنسبة 13% مقارنة بالفترة نفسها من عام 2009. وقد سلّم صانع السيارات الراقية الأكثر نجاحاً في العالم في 14 سوق في الشرق الأوسط لعملائه 8096 سيارة من BMW وميني، ممّا يشير بالتأكيد إلى قوّة هاتين العلامتين التجاريتين في المنطقة.
وقد حققت الشركة أرباحاً في كافة أسواقها الـ14 في الشرق الأوسط. وسجّل باكستان واليمن مبيعات تفوق الضعفين مقارنة بالفترة نفسها من السنة الماضية بحيث ارتفعت المبيعات في باكستان بنسبة 180% (14 سيارة) وفي اليمن بنسبة 105% (39 سيارة). أمّا الأسواق الأخرى التي حققت مبيعات ملفتة فكانت سوريا مع 65% (742 سيارة)، وأبو ظبي مع 38% (1707 سيارات)، وهو العدد الأكبر من السيارات التي بيعت في الشرق الأوسط، والمملكة العربية السعودية مع 19% (1478 سيارات).
BMW Middle East sales increase 13% in 2010 first half
BMW Group Middle East has completed the first six months of 2010 with a 13% sales growth over the same period in 2009. Across 14 Middle East markets, the world’s most successful premium automotive manufacturer delivered 8,096 BMW and MINI vehicles to customers, signaling the underlying strength of both brands in the region.
BMW X3 2011 unveiled with choice of two engines
The new-for-2011 BMW X3 has finally been revealed, and it looks exactly as one would expect it to look. It is longer, wider and taller than the old model, but its exterior and interior hold no surprises. It looks like BMW has at once chosen to release it with its larger 6-cylinder engine offerings, saving the smaller 4-cylinder engine choices for later.
أول ظهور رسمي لباكورة سيارات ماكلارين أوتوموتيف، ام بي سي في مهرجان غودوود الشهير للسرعة
ظهرت باكورة سيارات ماكلارين أوتوموتيف لأول مرّة أمام الجمهور في مهرجان غودوود للسرعة أوائل الأسبوع الماضي. حيث قاد كلّ من بطل العالم لسباقات الفورمولا واحد جنسون باتون وبطل العالم لعام 2008 لسباقات الفورمولا واحد لويس هاميلتون نموذج برتقالي اللون من السيارة على طول تلّة غودوود الشهيرة.
وكانت سيارة ماكلارين ام بي4-12سي أول سيارة تصل إلى هذا المهرجان يوم الجمعة، الثاني من يوليوالحالي، وبذلك إفتتحت باكورة ماكلارين مهرجان هذا العام، بقيادة أنطوني شريف المدير التنفيذي لشركة ماكلارين أوتوموتيف. وتصّدرت السيارة المهرجان، حيث أنها بقيت معروضة على المنصة طيلة الأسبوع.
هذا و قد شدّت سيارة ماكلارين إليها العديد من زوار المهرجان الذين بلغ عددهم 176,000 حيث كانت شاسية السيارة معروضة على منصة ماكلارين.
