The “Spirit of Ecstasy” lady, found on the bonnet of every Rolls-Royce, is celebrating its 100th anniversary. To mark “her” centenary anniversary, Rolls-Royce Motors Cars has created a special set of just 100 vehicles — the Spirit of Ecstasy Centenary Collection. In addition, every vehicle produced during 2011 will feature a unique Spirit of Ecstasy with an engraved commemorative inscription. This coincided with the opening of the redone Rolls-Royce showroom in Dubai.

Rolls Royce Middle East sends off former CEO

Representatives from Rolls-Royce dealerships in the Middle East region convened near Laguna Beach, California, to discuss business development for the next decade and bid farewell to the outgoing CEO. Rolls-Royce Motor Cars CEO, Tom Purves, who will retire at the end of the month, commended Middle East dealerships for their contribution to furthering the brand’s presence in the region. Tom Purves started his career in 1967 as an apprentice engineer at Rolls-Royce, in the 1970s he was the area manager for Rolls-Royce in the Middle East, based in Kuwait.
