For the most part, luxury in the car world usually hits a ceiling when it reaches the Rolls-Royce Phantom. The stately sedan is the epitome of automotive luxury and now it is getting an update. For the 2023 model year, the Phantom gets small updates in design, and fabric seats at the rear.
Rolls-Royce has updated their flagship Phantom with more luxury packed into it than ever before. The 2018 Rolls-Royce Phantom’s brochure was leaked a few weeks ago which gave us a hint of what it was going to look like, prior to its reveal.
Rolls-Royce has announced that the current Phantom will end production by November of this year. This announcement follows the recent news that Rolls-Royce has begun testing its all-new aluminium architecture, which will underpin every future Rolls-Royce arriving from early 2018. However, while there will be a new flagship sedan coming later, the Phantom Coupé and Drophead Coupé models will not be replaced in the future. These two Phantom models will end their lives with a special collection of only 50 limited-edition cars to be called Phantom Zenith.
Rolls-Royce unveiled their most valuable car in history, the Celestial Phantom, at the 2013 Dubai Motor Show. It was made to celebrate the handover of the first Phantom to its owner back in January 2003. Other Rolls-Royce models to make their GCC debut were the Phantom Coupe Chicane, the Alpine Trial Centenary Collection and the Wraith.

When we got the call to come drive the “new” Rolls-Royce Phantom models in Dubai, I had to think hard to remember why they were calling them new models. Then it hit me that Rolls-Royce did launch “new” models of their Phantoms, if only with minor changes. The Phantom Series II may just be a facelift, but the new tech added brings the flagship up to modern standards.
The new 2012 Rolls-Royce Phantom Series II has officially arrived to the Middle East, having been revealed for the first time in the GCC at Abu Dhabi Motors, the Rolls-Royce dealer for Abu Dhabi and Al Ain.
Rolls-Royce Motor Cars is presenting the Phantom Series II range at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show. Changes are minimal, of course.
