The Renault Fluence has failed to make an impact in the UAE market as much as some of its other siblings, not least of which due to its docile styling. The company has somewhat rectified that with a new corporate front-end for the 2013 model.
Just launched in the UAE, the Korean-built Renault Fluence is a new-for-2011 model that competes in the compact segment in terms of price, features, performance and general demeanour. It is a rather underwhelming car, as most cars are in this segment, but it has one ace up its sleeve. A longer-than-average wheelbase means it is more spacious than many others in the compact class.
For better or worse, the new 2011 Renault Fluence is now officially available for sale in the GCC, having been advertised in UAE newspapers for weeks now.
Renault GCC will extend its existing line-up with the introduction of four new models across the Middle East by the end of this year. The back-to-back launches are in line with the almost-French manufacturer’s plans to expand its market share within the small and mid-size passenger car segments.
The all-new Renault Fluence, a sedan designed especially for developing countries, will make its world premiere at the upcoming 2009 Dubai Motor Show which takes place from December 16 to 20, 2009.
Renault’s Turkish factory, production home of the goofy Symbol and Clio sedans, has added a new model to its line-up. Dubbed the Renault Fluence, it is intended to replace the French-built Megane in “low-end” markets such as Turkey, Russia, Romania and most likely the GCC countries eventually.
