The Peugeot 508 is one of the most handsome sedans right now, but it’s saddled with one of the weakest powertrains in its class. Indeed, the French brand has never been about outright power, being outclassed by even the most boring Japanese carmakers. Hence there is a sense of occasion when Peugeot unveiled their most powerful road-going cars ever — the Peugeot 508 PSE plug-in-hybrid.
The 2019 Peugeot 508 has finally made its way to the UAE and other GCC markets since it was officially revealed at last year’s Paris Motor Show in October. The reason for the slight delay is apparently because Peugeot has been testing the cars in this region to address any reliability issues. That’s good news from a brand that became synonymous with cars that didn’t go more than a few years before they were given up on, including us when we owned a Peugeot 307 XSi a decade ago.
Peugeot 508 was the brand’s flagship sedan when the first generation model was released in 2011. Six years later, they’ve introduced the next generation model with sharper aesthetics and a better set of engines.
Peugeot have released the GT Line series for the 308, 508 and RCZ models. The 308 and 508 get the same equipment and visual features as the the GT versions, without the GT engine upgrades.
Peugeot has just revealed pictures and details of the 2015 508.
Peugeot has finally launched the 508 sedan in the GCC, debuting it at the 2011 Dubai Motor Show. Available for more than a year in Europe, the 508 is intended to be a replacement for both the 407 and the 607.
Peugeot hasn’t had the best of luck with sedans. While their hatchbacks are selling well, both the 407 and the 607 sedans are pretty much midsize sedans, the first one a bit cramped and the latter a bit outdated. But the French company has been working on an all-new model that will replace both of them, and have a new name too. Thus, the first photos of the all-new Peugeot 508 has hit the net.
Details of the 2011 Peugeot 508, which will be the replacement for the 407 and 607 models, have been revealed. Featuring a big grill and rounded curves all over, it looks pretty good in these initial pictures. The engine details have only been released for the hybrid model.
