It has been a while since we last posted an update on our Mitsubishi Pajero, simply because there was nothing much to report about it. Apart from some minor repairs, all of which arose as a result of frequent off-roading excursions, absolutely nothing has gone wrong with the vehicle as it clocks over 30,000 km on the odometer.
The Mitsubishi Mirage is a replacement for the Colt and will be sold in numerous markets around the world. Indeed, the Colt had left the UAE market a decade ago, but continued elsewhere around the world.
The Mitsubishi Outlander is a forgotten player in the compact crossover segment. Mitsubishi even claims that they coined the term “crossover” although they are arguably not the inventors of the crossover. Still, the Outlander has been completely redesigned for the 2013 model year.
So the Mitsubishi Pajero has been with us for over 3 months now, racking up over 12,000 kms on the clock. Sadly enough, barely a few realise the true potential of these vehicles, the result being these unfortunate four-wheel-drives living the life of a budget sedan. One such commonly-seen family SUV is the Mitsubishi Pajero, which also happens to be our new long-term hauler.
The 2012 Mitsubishi Shogun, better known as the Pajero in the GCC, has received a facelift in Europe. Of course, calling it a “facelift” is pushing it.
Mitsubishi’s and Honda’s UAE dealers have opened used car divisions, BMW’s Qatar dealer has restarted their bespoke programme, while Mini is hosting a public event.
Our 2008 Mitsubishi Galant GTS is now in full service, being used as a daily commuter for the Dubai-Abu Dhabi-Dubai slog every evening by my brother. So we racked up 3,000 km in less than a week.
