To reflect the ethos of the “Are You Alive” campaign, Jaguar recently hosted a 2-day event aimed at challenging attendees on how alive they felt throughout the experience – particularly while driving the flagship Jaguar XJ and when jumping out of a plane from 13,000 feet over Dubai’s iconic Palm Jumeirah on a sky-diving trip.
Jaguar has officially unveiled the special-edition XJ Ultimate at the ongoing Beijing Auto Show in China. This is just another indication that China is one of the most sought-after markets for luxury carmakers.
Jaguar is reinventing itself, according to their new “Alive” marketing campaign. After years of peddling classically-handsome automobiles to traditionally-older gentlemen, things took a turn for the modern when the XF debuted a few years ago. And then the XJ continued that transformation. The XK was always around in the background. Now with three ultra-futurist models making up the range, they’ve revamped their logo and are heavily pushing their cars towards potentially-younger customers. Part of the GCC launch event for the campaign involved a round in the V6-powered XJ-L which debuted last year. This was the first time in our seven-year existence that we’d actually been invited to a Jaguar driving event.
Jaguar will be introducing two all-new engines for key global markets, namely a supercharged 3.0-litre V6 petrol engine and the turbocharged 2.0-litre I4 petrol engine.
Jaguar is reinventing itself with a global brand strategy that will add fresh impetus to its evolving product-led revitalisation programme. Simultaneous with the unveiling of a new Jaguar logo and corporate identity, the launch of an innovative marketing campaign aims to increase awareness of the brand amongst a younger audience. Deliberately provocative, the campaign is designed to capitalise on the existing emotional pull of Jaguar’s cars and challenges consumers to answer: ‘How alive are you?’
