With the recent launch of the Kona N, Hyundai’s N range now houses hatchbacks, a fastback and a crossover SUV. A sedan-sized void sits in it, but Hyundai aims to fill it with the new 2022 Hyundai Elantra N, an edgy sports sedan that will have very little competition nowadays.
Hyundai has been on a launch spree lately with cars like the 2020 Sonata and a bunch of crossovers making their way into the lineup. Now, Hyundai has flicked the covers off the 2021 Hyundai Elantra sedan. In a very crowded segment filled with Japanese giants like the Toyota Corolla, Honda Civic etc, the 2021 Hyundai Elantra hopes to gain some attention as it brings a combination of edgy styling, latest technology and a hybrid powertrain.

The Hyundai Elantra is a subcompact that has been around since a long time. Although not much of an attention grabber, it is apparently a sales success in the Middle East, owing to the great exterior design and price tag. And how the all-new 2016 Hyundai Elantra has grown from its past is what we were to witness when the local dealer invited us for a day-long media event that included an extensive test-drive.
Hyundai has officially taken the wraps off the all-new 2016 Elantra, or the Avante as it is called in some markets. It is now a longer and wider car than its predecessor.
Pictures of the 2016 Hyundai Elantra has leaked online early, ahead of its official debut next month at the Seoul Motor Show. Hyundai, however, did recently reveal a few teaser images already of the exterior and interior.

An 18-year driver in Saudi Arabia was killed recently when he rammed his Hyundai Elantra into a heavy-duty truck while doing illegal stunts in traffic.
Hyundai and Kia are lowering their U.S. fuel economy ratings on most 2012 and 2013 models. Following several complaints, an investigation by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has found the carmaker guilty of posting false fuel-economy estimates on window-stickers at showroom since late 2010. The companies will spend millions of dollars compensating the owners of about 900,000 vehicles sold during that time.
If you keep track of good TV, you might have caught The Walking Dead series, a gritty realistic take on the zombie apocalypse theme. Few of you would realise though that the show is actually based on a comic book series. The 100th issue of the comics was just commemorated with this Hyundai Elantra Coupe Zombie Survival Machine.
As part of our Hyundai dealer-sponsored trip to Korea, we were given a quick tour of the Research and Development centre in Namyang, mostly to see the wind tunnel facility. The place was so secretive that cameras and phones were confiscated before entry, and even inside, all we saw were prototype cars in camouflage. Lots and lots of prototype cars in camo, all playing around their testing grounds.
