At the Chengdu Motor Show in China, Hyundai took the wraps off the all-new 2018 Accent. Following the lines of its bigger brother, the Elantra, the new Accent looks much sharper than the current model. The new Accent is based on a concept Hyundai showcased at the 2016 Beijing Motor Show.
Dubai Police has apparently apprehended a carjacker after a long-winded car chase through Dubai’s highways, after the suspect stole, of all things, a Hyundai Accent.
The 2012 Hyundai Accent isn’t a car anyone was anxiously waiting for. That isn’t to say no one anticipates sub-compact cars with sweaty palms. The launch of the next-generation Toyota Yaris is going to be a big event in the lives of many in the UAE. Nothing else comes close to the Yaris in popularity. The Accent has always been sidelined. While the 2012 Hyundai Accent sedan debuted at different auto shows around the world, including the 2010 Abu Dhabi Motor Show, China is playing host to the debut of the 2012 Hyundai Verna 5-door, essentially a hatchback version of the new Accent.
Hyundai has revealed three new models at separate venues around the world within the space of a week. They are i10 mini-hatchback, the ix20 hatchback-MPV and the Solaris sub-compact sedan that will become the next Accent.
We figured we were done with how the 2011 Hyundai Accent will look, when the Chinese-market Hyundai Verna was launched this April at the 2010 Beijing Auto Show. However, it seems Hyundai is introducing multiple variants of that car in different markets. The Hyundai “RB Concept” was just launched at the 2010 Moscow Auto Show, looking very showroom-ready, and destined for local production and sale in Russia. It is possible that this is the car that will reach the GCC as the Hyundai Accent.
The 2011 Hyundai Verna debuted at the 2010 Beijing Auto Show this week. Verna is what the Hyundai Accent is known as in some markets, so this mini-Sonata is basically what we should be getting by the end of the year.
The 2010 Hyundai Accent has been given a hefty facelift for its Korean home market. Dubbed the Verna Transform, it is possible that this new face will become the GCC-spec 2010 Accent, even if the rest of the car is largely the same.
