We attend the Volkswagen Dub Drive GCC 2017 in Dubai (video)

Volkswagen owners from across the region gathered at the Dubai Autodrome on the 21st April weekend at the largest ever exclusive event for the GCC. About 150 cars and 300 owners from Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Qatar, Kuwait, and the United Arab Emirates participated in the invitation-only Volkswagen ‘Dub Drive GCC 2017’ event to showcase their cars.

Italdesign’s Zerouno supercar is a carbon-fibre fest

Italdesign’s new supercar brand Italdesign Automobili Speciali has shown off their new creation, the Zerouno at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show. The Italian company has given the Lamborghini Huracan a fancier carbon-fibre cloak but it’s more than just a modified car. And the best part is, this isn’t a one-off destined to grace just the show stand but a production model. Italdesign plans to sell five of these machines.

2018 BMW 1-Series sedan exclusively for China

The compact sedan segment is a fast-growing playground leveraged by many luxury brands to add cheaper entry-level models to their range. BMW is now offering a new 1-Series sedan in China. The new model will be pitted squarely against the German flag-bearers, the Mercedes CLA and the Audi A3. Even though they had a long-standing base to use in the form of the 1-Series hatchback, BMW has taken their time to create the sedan. For now, the 1-Series sedan will be a China-exclusive model. But in the future, it might make its way into other markets as well.

Expanding the currently-popular Honda Civic family, the new Civic Si has been added to the line-up with an updated engine in the United States. The Si slots in between the standard Civic and the hot Civic Type-R. Honda claims the new model to be the “fastest, most powerful Si yet” even though its power output remains the same.
