Renault Middle East is quietly celebrating their own little milestone in the region, selling more cars than ever this quarter and achieving their highest ever GCC market share. Granted, it’s only at 1.5% now, but there is cause to celebrate. Despite a decline in the region’s overall market, Renault Middle East actually managed a 0.29% increase in the first quarter of 2018 compared to the same period last year. This photo was sent to us by reader Mirza Baig back in December 2017. Back then, it was unclear what this mystery crossover could be. It was confusing to pinpoint what it was, because VW is busy launching a barrage of crossovers, from the Teramont to the T-Roc, with the Tiguan and the Touareg in between. But in March, Volkswagen also showed a model called the VW Atlas Cross Sport Concept, which is essentially what the prototype hot-weather testing in Dubai looks like.
