With the first info on the facelifted 2011 Land Rover LR2, also known as Freelander elsewhere, Land Rover is jumping full force into the crossover market. For the 2011 LR2 will be the second Land Rover ever to be offered in a front-wheel-drive version. The first one was, of course, the 2011 Range Rover Evoque.
The 2011 Mazda 2, a facelifted version of the Mazda2 that has been on sale in Europe since 2008, was launched in the UAE today at a lunch event in Dubai. General Motors has announced that selected Chevrolet dealers in the United States have begun taking customer orders for the 2011 Chevrolet Volt, the first mass-production electric vehicle with extended-range capability. Following the U.S. introduction, the Volt will go on sale in global markets starting with Europe and China in 2011. A few will also be sent to the GCC for hot-weather testing to see if they are viable for sale in the UAE.
