Dodge offers 2011 Ram Laramie Longhorn edition


The aggressive Dodge Ram full-size pickup truck was redesigned a couple of years ago. Then parent company Chrysler went bankrupt, sort of got bought out by Fiat, who promptly decided to restructure the American firm by separating the Ram line-up from the rest of the Dodge range. Thus Ram is now a brand all on its own, although the vehicle is still essentially an unchanged Dodge Ram. The Ram Laramie is currently available in the UAE and some other GCC countries as an upscale truck for yuppies. And in the States, a Ram Laramie Longhorn special edition is now being offered.

One of our readers, Fahad, tipped us off that the 2011 Toyota Land Cruiser will now be available with a 5.7-litre V8 in the Middle East, and has already been revealed in Kuwait as a 60th anniversary model, according to the dealer website there. We are also hearing rumblings that the 5.7-litre model is already in the UAE, and should soon be found in Saudi Arabia and other GCC countries too.

The Bentley Continental GT has been updated for the 2011 model year, although the VW-owned British firm is touting it as an all-new model. The new model features facelifted front and rear ends, a mildly-redone interior, an upgraded V12 and the promise of a new V8 base engine.
