So all Dodge Chargers cannot do a burnout. We are talking about the Dodge Charger all-wheel-drive version. Dodge is now offering a Sport package for the AWD models, to make it a more attractive proposition for customers.
Among the motorsports practised by citizens of civilised nations such as America is tug-of-war, a test of strength and resilience. Even better if it’s done with big pointless pickup trucks! Here’s a tug-of-war battle between a Chevrolet Silverado and a Dodge Ram. The outcome is obvious, but winner goes totally overboard! We spotted the only Dodge Challenger SRT Limousine in the UAE lurking around the upscale Karama area of Dubai last week. Apparently it is only 1 out of 5 in the whole world, and the only one in the Middle East.
So if you thought that the crazy automobile recall saga had ended, you were wrong. Since our last post on the recalls earlier this year, there were an insane amount of recalls that followed, from almost every car manufacturer in the world you can ever think of, almost all of them being issued following instructions from the U.S.-based NHTSA agency. And we could not bother to post each recall issue as a separate story, the task being as equally tedious as the reader-response to these. Here are all the recalls that could potentially be relevant to our region since April 2012.
We were aware already that Dubai Police was trying out new patrol cars from various manufacturers, but it looks like they’re getting serious about it. They’ve released a photo, showing the 2012 Dodge Charger in a variation of the Dubai Police livery. In the background, we can spot a BMW 5-Series, a Toyota Prado and a Ford Explorer. Further photos show a Ford Taurus and a Dodge Durango in police markings as well.

I was told that “she” was the last model for the year 2008 left for sale in the entire UAE when I walked into the showroom late September that year. I was told that “she” was customised for the director of Dodge in Abu Dhabi. I was also told, if not “her”, then I would have to wait for another 6 months. The “boy” in me couldn’t wait, wouldn’t wait.
We were planning on taking a hiatus from testing any more cars for the summer, but when the man from Chrysler offered me a Ram 1500 for the long weekend, I casually agreed to take it off his hands. I remember it being a handful to drive the last time I tried it, back when it was still called a “Dodge” Ram, so I wasn’t too keen on driving it again. But I was wrong.
Chrysler has officially pulled the wraps off the 2013 Viper, except that they’ve decided to drop the “Dodge” name and turn “SRT” into a separate brand. So the SRT Viper, as it will be known, is out, boasting 640 hp and 813 Nm of torque from a front-midship naturally-aspirated 8.4-litre V10.

California was the place Chrysler chose to launch the Dodge Challenger Rallye Redline. It was at the Spring Festival, the haven for U.S. owners of Chrysler’s LX platform cars like the Challenger, Charger, Magnum and 300 congregate where the covers came off the special-edition Challenger.
