The BMW M6 Gran Coupe has finally made its official debut. It will take on the Mercedes-Benz CLS 63 AMG in the ultra-high performance “4-door coupe” segment.

We were aware already that Dubai Police was trying out new patrol cars from various manufacturers, but it looks like they’re getting serious about it. They’ve released a photo, showing the 2012 Dodge Charger in a variation of the Dubai Police livery. In the background, we can spot a BMW 5-Series, a Toyota Prado and a Ford Explorer. Further photos show a Ford Taurus and a Dodge Durango in police markings as well.
Barely three months ago, BMW unveiled the BMW Zagato Coupe, a one-off automobile jointly developed by BMW and the renowned Italian coachbuilder Zagato, at a prestigious classic and vintage auto exhibition in Italy. However, the collaborative efforts never ended there, as both the companies proceeded to create a Roadster variant in a record production-time of just six weeks, and calling it the BMW Zagato Roadster.
The “four-door coupe” trend continues, with BMW throwing their hat in the field. Essentially a flattened version of the 5-Series, or a four-door version of the 6-Series, whichever way you see it, the 640i Gran Coupe is the best-looking BMW sedan in the current range.
