2025 GMC Yukon Top Features
The GMC Yukon is massive. It is one of the biggest SUVs currently on the market and one of the few with a V8 engine. The Yukon shares the same chassis as the Tahoe and Escalade, and the GMC variant falls between those two names in terms of features and functionality, featuring off-road prowess with a premium touch.
All Yukon models have a 10-speed automatic transmission and either rear- or all-wheel drive. The Yukon offers four trims: Elevation, AT4, and Denali, which can seat up to 8 people, and the first-ever AT4 Ultimate trim, which can seat up to 7 people.
Many changes have been made to the GMC Yukon 2025 model year facelift.

Trims
The trim hierarchy has been slightly updated, with the new Elevation model replacing the previous SLE and SLT trims. Additionally, the new AT4 Ultimate joins the lineup for 2025, combining the AT4’s off-road capabilities with luxurious features. These include massaging front seats, full-grain leather upholstery throughout all three rows, and open-pore wood interior trim. The Denali Ultimate also offers second-row executive seating.
The Yukon’s maximum towing capacity is 3,810 kilograms. Its boot holds 722 litres of cargo, which can be increased to 3,477 litres with all the seats folded down.
Exterior Design
Known for its considerable size, the GMC Yukon’s updates include a restyled front fascia with a new grille and headlight design. The front and rear LED lighting can display animations, and bright chrome body side moulding enhances the SUV’s exterior look.
The Yukon Denali offers 24-inch wheels for the first time, while 20-inch and 22-inch wheels are available on other trims. The rear gets a hands-free automatic tailgate and bold new exhaust outlets. A panoramic sunroof feature is standard on the AT4 Ultimate and Denali Ultimate, which includes a power sunshade, express-open and close, and tilt slide.
Interior & Tech
The Yukon’s interiors have been updated with a new dashboard design and a standard 16.8-inch touchscreen in the cabin.
The Yukon offers seating for up to eight people, but that number drops to seven with optional captain’s chairs. There’s an available 8.0-inch touchscreen for second-row passengers for climate settings and available rear seat media systems in 12.6-inch touch screens. Two USB and HDMI ports on the back of the centre console are added for second-row passengers.
Denali models offer luxe interiors with open-pore wood trim laser-etched with chrome accents. The front row has 16-way power-adjustable seats with heating, cooling, and massaging cushions.
Driver Centric Technology
The redesigned steering wheel has an 11-inch driver information cluster that displays night vision, a head-up display added for a more focused driving experience, and a 10-speaker system. Higher trims include heated steering, a Bose 14-speaker system, full video inside the rearview mirror, and a rear camera.
Performance and Fuel Economy
The Yukon models have standard suspensions, dynamic fuel management, direct injection, and variable valve timing (VVT) for engine performance. The Yukon AT4 also has a magnetic ride control suspension, an extra cooling system, and air ride adaptive suspensions. The AT4 and Elevation trims produce 355 horsepower and 564 Nm of torque. Things get heated up with the AT4 Ultimate and Denali trims, which produce 420 horsepower and 624 Nm of torque.
Although the fuel consumption rate for 2025 has not yet been released, it will most likely be the same as in previous years: 8.9 km/L for the 5.3-litre V8 model and 7.9 km/L for the 6.2-litre V8 model.
GMC Yukon Safety
For 2025, GMC has added 15+ standard safety features and available optional driver assistance features. Standard features include lane keep assist with lane departure warning, surround camera, forward collision alert, auto park assist, front pedestrian detection, rear pedestrian detection, side active safety, and auto emergency brake.
Some of the optional features include night vision, a rearview camera, parking sensors, a vehicle incline sensor, a glass break sensor, and integrated trailer brakes.
