KIA EV9 – Top Features & Specs

Going all-electric isn’t just for sedans, pickups, and small SUVs anymore. The three-row Kia EV9 SUV comes in an all-wheel drive, featuring a 380-hp dual-motor powertrain with a 99.8-kWh long-range battery. While a rear-wheel-drive version is sold in other markets, only the AWD model is sold in the GCC.

The EV9 boasts a big towing capacity of 5000 pounds and can travel up to 465 km on a single charge. It supports fast charging, charging the battery from 10% to 80% in under 25 minutes using a 350 kW charger.

Compatible with 400V and 800V chargers for versatile and fast recharging.
Terrain Mode optimises driving on challenging surfaces like snow, mud, or sand.

Exterior and Body Shape

At nearly 5 metres long, the EV9 is tall and wide, with a wheelbase of 3,100 mm, providing ample interior space. It features an upright windshield with large windows that brighten the interior, striking rear lights, and side cladding integrated into a muscular body.

The auto-flush door handle and distinctive headlights enhance the clean exterior, which showcases digital design patterns that make it unique.

Wheels are available in 19-inch and 20-inch alloy, while 21-inch alloy wheels are available only in the GT-line trim. Upgrading to the GT-line adds a 14-speaker Meridian sound system, digital side and centre mirrors, and lighting personalisation for the headlamps.

Interior

The Kia EV9 rethinks interiors with its second-row swivel seats that fold fully flat, and the overall feeling is that the three-row interior is spacious and comfortable—giving convenient front and rear occupant access to the latest technology.

Notably, an expansive dual sunroof to let the light in is placed on the roof. The centre console features an armrest, wireless charging and storage space for enhanced convenience.

Second-row swivel seats—Centre-row seats can be rotated 180 degrees when stopped for easy interaction with third-row seat occupants.
Relaxation seats – The second-row seats are captain seats with power recline and power leg rests. They are equipped with a massage function as well.

Technology

Hidden-type touch buttons that provide convenient access to entertainment and other functions
A head-up display for vital driving information is projected on the lower part of the windshield for a more focused drive.
More than 20 Advanced Driver Assistant Systems (ADAS) technologies are used for safety, including forward collision avoidance, blind-spot view monitors, lane following assist, blind-spot collision avoidance, surround view monitors, and parking collision avoidance.

Cargo Space

The front trunk includes a convenient storage compartment that can hold up to 52L.
The boot offers 571 litres of space with all seats up and expands to 2,300 litres with the third and second rows folded down. The height of its automatic tailgate is also customisable.
