For the exterior, a slightly raised bonnet, new A-pillar trim, spoiler lip on the roof, and so-called “air curtains” in the rear wheel-arch flares contribute to optimized aerodynamics and interior aeroacoustics.

A redesigned off-road control unit, new OFFROAD COCKPIT, and “transparent bonnet” enable a comprehensive digital off-road experience.

The MBUX (Mercedes-Benz User Experience) infotainment system includes a 12.3-inch driver and media display with touch controls as standard.

 Mercedes-AMG G 63 Highlights

The Mercedes-AMG G 63 continues to get the handcrafted AMG 4.0-litre V8 biturbo engine producing 577 horsepower and 850 Nm of torque. It is mated to a 9-speed automatic transmission.

Thanks to electrification, the new models reportedly now has improved responsiveness off-road and greater comfort on paved roads.

Mercedes claims the mild hybrids with an integrated starter-generator (ISG) and a 48-volt on-board electrical system offer increased performance and reduced fuel consumption.

The Mercedes-Benz G-Class has always been popular in the region and will continue to do so. The fact that they kept pretty much the exact same design for the electrified version shows  the power of the iconic look of the G-Class which first came out way back in 1979.

Over the next 45 years since its inception, the G-Class transitioned from a practical offroad SUV to a design icon and status symbol.
