First Look: 2025 Jetour T1 – A Fresh Contender in the UAE SUV Market
The compact SUV segment in the UAE is fiercely competitive, and the Jetour T1 aims to emulate the success of the T2. It follows the same philosophy of rugged looks, a tech-packed interior, and a strong value-for-money proposition. Jetour, a sub-brand of Chery Automobile, continues its push into the region with the T1, targeting budget-conscious buyers who still demand style and modern features.
Exterior Design
The Jetour T1 sports a rugged yet contemporary look, with design cues borrowed from traditional off-roaders but tailored for urban adventures. Its squared-off wheel arches, aggressive front grille, and sharp LED headlights create a commanding road presence.
The SUV’s optional two-tone paint job further enhances its appeal, making it suitable for city commutes and light off-road excursions. At first glance, it feels like a modern take on a classic design.
Interior & Technology
Step inside, and the Jetour T1 greets you with a surprisingly upscale cabin for its price point. Soft-touch materials, ambient lighting, and a neatly designed dashboard reflect its premium aspirations. The 15.6-inch infotainment touchscreen dominates the centre console, offering standard wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. The 10.25 digital instrument cluster is equally impressive, delivering crisp graphics.
Space is as good as the T1, offering decent space to rear passengers. The boot offers 397 litres of cargo capacity – expandable when folding down the rear seats. Rear AC vents, USB ports, ventilated front seats, a 12-speaker Sony audio system and a panoramic sunroof, add to the features. Furthermore, physical buttons are provided for climate control.
Jetour T1 Performance
Under the hood, the Jetour T1 offers a 2.0-litre turbocharged engine paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission. The powertrain produces 252 hp and 390 Nm of torque, which is adequate for daily urban driving.
For those who prioritize off-road capability, the AWD system provides extra confidence on sandy or rocky trails, though it’s better suited for light adventures rather than serious off-roading.
Safety Features
The Jetour T1 doesn’t skimp on safety, offering a suite of features such as adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, blind-spot monitoring, and a 360-degree camera. In addition, it boasts 10 airbags, ensuring peace of mind for drivers and passengers alike.
