Ford Explorer 2025 gets updated styling and more features

The updated Ford Explorer 2025 has officially arrived in the UAE and GCC. It has received a facelift, more standard features, and an upgraded interior.

Exterior design

For 2025, Ford has refreshed the Explorer’s appearance with a sportier front end, featuring a redesigned grille, fascia, and headlights. The rear of the SUV has also been updated with new taillights, lower fascia, and a sleek liftgate applique, giving the Explorer a more dynamic look.

Inside, the Explorer sees enhancements aimed at both aesthetics and comfort. The instrument panel has been updated with a new badge, stitching, and ambient lighting, while new trim has been added to the front and rear doors. A redesigned centre console adds to the modern feel, using premium materials for a softer touch. New interior colours have also been added.

Flexible Cargo and Space Options

One of the Explorer’s standout features is its adaptable cargo space. With seating for up to seven passengers across three rows, the SUV offers 461 litres of cargo room even with all seats in use.

For those needing more space, folding the third-row seats unlocks 1,302 litres of cargo capacity. With the second and third rows down, the Explorer offers an impressive 2,429 litres of space.

Ford Explorer Technology and Safety Enhancements

The 2025 Explorer is packed with modern tech to enhance convenience, connectivity, and safety. At the centre of the dashboard is a 13.2-inch touchscreen that integrates Apple CarPlay and Android Auto wirelessly. A 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster provides essential driving information without distracting the driver.

Eight USB charging ports are distributed throughout the cabin, ensuring all passengers can charge their devices on the go. Bluetooth pairing for two phones adds convenience, while the standard Trailer Tow Package allows users to bring additional gear.

On the safety front, the Explorer features a comprehensive suite of driver-assistance technologies. Key features include a Pre-Collision Mitigation System with Automatic Emergency Brakes, Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop and Go, and Lane-Centering Assist. Additionally, a Blind Spot Information System (BLIS) with Cross-Traffic Alert, Exit Warning, and Post-Impact Brakes is available to provide extra peace of mind on the road.

Ford Explorer Powertrain and Performance Options

The 2025 Ford Explorer offers two engine choices to cater to different driving preferences. The Active and Platinum trims come equipped with a 2.3-litre 4-cylinder EcoBoost engine paired with a 10-speed transmission. Seven selectable drive modes ensure the SUV is ready for various terrains and conditions.

For those seeking more performance, the Explorer ST has a powerful 3.0-litre V6 engine, sports suspension, and quad exhaust, making it the most performance-oriented trim in the lineup.
