First Look: All new 2025 Audi Q5 revealed
Audi is introducing the third-generation Q5 and has stuck to offering only petrol engines, with the Audi Q6 going the electric route. The Audi Q5 is a critical model for them and has been one of their best-selling models in the UAE since its launch. This new version aims to build on that success, balancing familiarity with meaningful updates.
Audi Q5 Engine and Performance
The 2025 Audi Q5 will offer two powertrain options in the UAE. The base model features a turbocharged 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine producing 268 horsepower, while the sportier SQ5 gets a 3.0-litre V6, delivering 362 horsepower and 550 Nm of torque. Both engines are mated to a seven-speed dual-clutch S Tronic transmission and Audi’s renowned Quattro all-wheel-drive system.
The SQ5 achieves an estimated 9.6 to 8.7 km/litre on the European WLTP cycle. EPA ratings for the UAE have yet to be announced.
The standard Q5 features steel springs designed for a comfortable ride, but the SQ5 comes with Frequency Selective Damping (FSD) for more agile handling. Air suspension with adaptive dampers is an option, offering more flexibility between comfort and sport modes.
Audi Q5 Design
The new Q5’s design seems to have become less aggressive, with softer lines and a more streamlined appearance. The creases along the sides visually slim the car, while the rear features full-width taillamps.
Wheels range from 18 to 21 inches, depending on the trim level. Up front, the grille has been updated for a sportier look, and the headlights are set higher than before.
LED daytime running lights and second-generation OLED tail lamps add to the premium feel.
Audi has also done away with fake exhaust tips.
Tech Inside
Inside, the Q5 sticks to Audi’s signature blend of modern design and advanced technology. The new model offers more angular styling, reminiscent of Audi’s earlier cabin designs.
USB-C ports and inductive phone charging come standard, while a large slab of shiny plastic accents the centre console.
The infotainment setup includes an 11.9-inch Virtual Cockpit for the driver and a 14.5-inch MMI touchscreen for other functions.
Audi’s Digital Stage infotainment system is also available, while passengers can enjoy an optional 10.9-inch screen to stay entertained during long trips.
Drivers will appreciate the configurable head-up display, which allows on-the-fly control over various features.
Additionally, Audi’s Dynamic Interaction Light spans the width of the cockpit, reacting to driving inputs and offering a welcoming display when you start the car.
2025 Audi Pricing
As for pricing, the 2025 Audi Q5 in Europe starts at approximately AED 206,000 for the base model, while the higher-performance SQ5 is priced at around AED 365,000.
Final prices for the UAE market will be confirmed closer to its official Middle East launch.
The 2025 Audi Q5 builds on its established success. Though not revolutionary, it’s a compelling choice in the competitive luxury compact SUV segment.
