Cadillac Opulent Velocity Concept revealed: Luxury performance EV

According to Bryan Nesbitt, executive director of Global Cadillac Design, the Opulent Velocity concept is an experience-based design study.

It embodies the artful integration of the characteristics of Cadillac’s halo V-Series variants and future electrification design expressions.

The concept vehicle’s “Opulent” experience explores the potential of fully autonomous mobility with level 4 autonomous capability.

It offers a hands-free immersive experience through multi-sensory modes accessible via a widescreen display and Augmented Reality Head-Up Display.

Meanwhile, the “Velocity” experience focuses on providing users with the thrill of a high-performance vehicle while incorporating luxury elements synonymous with the Cadillac V-Series.

The Velocity mode conceptualizes a “Ghost Car” function that displays on the HUD screen as the vehicle user guide.

This mode presents a competitive driving course that allows drivers to improve their lap times or compete against peers on various designated tracks.

Furthermore, Velocity mode visualizes the capability to dictate driving enhancements, including road overlays, active information about road conditions, and complete control over active aero and suspension-dampening settings.

Cadillac Opulent Velocity Concept Design

In terms of exterior design, the Opulent Velocity concept boasts a clean, modern appearance in a low silhouette. It also features distinct large butterfly doors and Cadillac’s signature vertical lighting.
