First Look: 2025 McLaren Artura Spider in the UAE
McLaren has revealed the Artura Spider, a convertible supercar that uses a hybrid powertrain and is the second Artura model. The car has many upgrades in terms of power, performance and driver engagement, and it now provides a new open-top facet to the Artura. The upgrades that were made to the Spider have also been incorporated into the Artura coupe.
McLaren has focused on decreasing the weight of the Artura Spider to improve handling and performance. The dry weight of the car is just 1,457kg. This makes the Artura Spider the lightest among the supercar convertible competition.
The Artura Spider has a hybrid powertrain, a 3.0-litre V6 engine coupled with a 7.4 kWh battery pack. The electric motor provides up to 94 hp and 225 Nm of torque, which, combined with the petrol engine, produces 690 hp and 720 Nm of torque. The electric motor has a range of up to 33 km on electric power only.
The car’s McLaren Carbon Lightweight Architecture (MCLA) provides a secure platform, which, according to McLaren, does not lose rigidity when the roof is removed. The Artura Spider has a retractable hard top that can be opened and closed electrically in just 11 seconds.
The Artura Spider’s aerodynamic design has been optimized to provide maximum downforce and minimal drag. The car’s low front splitter, rear diffuser, and active rear spoiler work together to improve stability and handling at high speeds.
The driver-focused cockpit features a digital instrument cluster, a large infotainment screen, and a carbon-fibre steering wheel. The Artura Spider also features a premium sound system from Bowers & Wilkins.
The 2025 McLaren Artura Spider is now officially available across showrooms in the UAE and the GCC.
