2024 Chevrolet Aveo arrives in Mexico exclusively as a five-door hatchback
The small car market is not home to many exciting new updates. But it certainly is something the majority of us closely follow. So here is some news from that fiscal end in the form of the 2024 Chevrolet Aveo.
The Chevy Aveo had been around in our market for a while till it was discontinued a couple of years ago. The little sedan served as the entry step to the Chevy range. But facing stiff competition from Japanese models, it never took off in our region. But in some other markets, the nameplate is still strong. The 2024 Chevrolet Aveo arrives in Mexico, one of its strongholds.
The all-new 2024 Chevy Aveo is designed and developed by the manufacturer’s SAIC-GM-Wuling joint venture in China. This same car will be available as a Wuling model soon as well.
Sedan and hatchback
In addition to the hatchback version, the 2024 Aveo will also be offered as a four-door sedan. The overall design of the 2024 Aveo is way more angular than the outgoing model. The front end gets slimmer headlamps while the rear flaunts a wide light strip.
No updates regarding the interior of the 2024 Chevrolet Aveo are out yet. But we know it will offer a comprehensive list of safety features, including four-wheel ABS and disc brakes, six airbags, seat belt alert and parking assist sensors.
Chevrolet Aveo Engine specifications
The oily bits of the 2024 Chevrolet Aveo are also a secret for now. The current model gets a 1.5-litre four-cylinder engine that produces 107 hp and 141 Nm of torque. This can be paired with a five-speed manual or a four-speed automatic transmission.
Will the Chevrolet Aveo make a comeback in the UAE and the Middle East? It certainly has potential if competitively priced like the previous generation, which recently stopped selling in our region.
