2022 Lexus LX 600 now available in the UAE
Fluidity in austerity seems ironic but is true when talking about the all-new Lexus LX 600. Known for its durability, reliability and off-road performance, Lexus has sold more than 500,000 units of the LX model since it first came out in 1989. An ever popular model in the GCC, the new LX finally arrives in our shores looking to continue its success story.
Under the hood, it receives an engine upgrade with a twin-turbo 3.5-litre V6 engine that delivers 409 horsepower and 650 Nm, making the power now comparable to some of the current luxury SUVs on offer. The motor is mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission and it can do 0 to 100 kph around the 7 second mark.
The LX 600 received a complete interior and exterior makeover and shed around 200 kg by adopting a new GA-F platform making it sleeker and more aerodynamic with a lower centre of gravity by placing the engine further back, creating better handling on fast turns and overall stability. Where form meets function, Lexus has adhered to its inherited “golden ratio” with a 2,850 mm wheelbase that achieves high-level performance on rough terrain and a spacious interior for excellent on-road ride comfort.
First impression upon entering this roomy luxury SUV gave the feeling of being nestled in the plush seats and surrounded by the swank Tazuna cockpit, cosy and ready for the drive ahead rather than intimidated by the size and opulence of this beast.
Lexus does not skimp on luxury, it’s obvious in the details too. Open to dynamic change, they have reinterpreted the fabric of their design aspect and implemented enhancements in key features such as the signature Lexus spindle grille, top-hinged back door and upgraded rear light and the Lexus emblem.
Featuring also is a 25-speaker Mark Levinson sound system making sure you will never miss a beat. Its Rear-Seat Entertainment system boasts crisp 11.6 inch touch-screen displays with multi-adjustable power seats and completely automated foldable second and third-row seats for comfort and usability.
Multi-Terrain Select includes six driving modes; Auto, Dirt, Sand, Mud, Deep Snow, and Rock. By inhibiting wheel spin and wheel lock, Crawl Control offers further support to off-road driving experience for newbies and experts alike. The plethora of features on this SUV is no surprise attributed to Lexus’ enduring efforts in innovation and technology. Some features to keep an eye out for are the fingerprint-authenticated push-button start feature, Dual Display Infotainment System (12.3 inch and 7 inch screens), an 8-inch colour Multi-information Display (MID) in the cluster gauge, wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and the baked-in Lexus Connect App are standard. Also includes a multitude of safety features credited to the Lexus Safety System+.
This flagship SUV comes in six exterior colour options and four complementing interior colour layouts, equipped with 20-inch or 22-inch alloy wheels, which are the largest yet for Lexus.
Expanding its lineup, Lexus introduces its first ever 4-seat VIP trim and F Sport trim. The VIP trim shows off some exclusive interior features including two roomy second row plush seats that recline upto 48 degrees with an in-built ottoman for extra lower body support with ventilation and massage functions for that extra oomph.
The F Sport trim comes in with a sportier suspension and its exclusive Torsen limited-slip rear differential. This trim comes with its own set of exclusive interior and exterior features and finishes unlike any other version of the LX.
The all-new 2022 Lexus LX is now available across Al Futtaim showrooms in the UAE with prices starting from Dhs 495,000.

It’s nice to see Lexus adopting a newer engine and latest technology in the LX, definitely a winner and a fine replacement for the outgoing model.

You do excellent reviews on new vehicle releases and this one in particular has got my attention ( LX 600 ).
I would also like to know if a GVM upgrade would be available eventually ; plus their is a rumour that a hybrid version is in the pipeline with a IFORCE MAX V8 ENGINE ? ; Along with a longer WB for towing upto 4500kg.
Thankyou for the opportunity to comment.

A hybrid will probably happen, but there is usually never an option to increase GVM in Middle East market models.
