2021 Jaguar XF gets a major update

With 5 years under its belt since the second generation’s reveal, it was high time that Jaguar updated its executive sedan, the Jaguar XF. Here it is with a mid-cycle facelift that gives the 2021 XF subtle styling changes and some tech updates.

There is not a lot to speak about the styling updates as the 2021 Jaguar XF brings very subtle design changes to the table. The headlamps are a bit slimmer and the grill gets a new “diamond detailing” with a chrome finish. In the options list, there is a new Black Exterior Pack that slaps a black finish on all the chrome bits. New standard 19-inch alloy wheel designs or an optional 20-inch set round off the updates.

The 2021 Jaguar XF gets more improvements inside. The small infotainment screen heads out to make way for a larger curved 11.40-inch touchscreen setup. A new Pivi Pro infotainment system runs on the massive screen, which also gets Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity options. It is also compatible with over-the-air updates. To make parking easy, surround-view cameras are also thrown in. On top of all this, the Jaguar XF gets a new digital instrument cluster as well as a conventional gear lever replacing the round knob, the latter being a trademark Jag feature for more than a decade and a point of failure as the cars got older.

The powerplants list sees no change. The XF soldiers on with the 246 hp 2.0-litre turbocharged engine, hooked up to a rear-wheel drivetrain and a 3.0-litre supercharged engine at 340 hp and 380 hp states of tune.

Expect the 2021 Jaguar XF to reach UAE, KSA and other GCC showrooms in the first half of 2021.
