Nostalgia Classic Cars now offering Backdraft Racing Shelby Cobra kit car in the UAE

The 1960s and 70s are revered to be the ultimate era or car design. Many cars from this era have gone on to become classics. In this modern age, many companies have made modern interpretations of classic cars, including the Stinger 911 and the Eagle Speedster. Doing it a bit differently, Backdraft Racing is an American manufacturer who has specialised in creating modern-day replicas of the legendary Shelby Cobra. It is now available in the UAE, with Nostalgia Classic Cars serving as its dealer principal for Dubai and the Gulf region.

The Shelby kit car made by Backdraft Racing is christened RT3B Black Edition Roadster and it combines the 1960s’ design with modern materials to produce a breathing replica of Caroll Shelby’s legendary creation.

The showroom for Nostalgia Classic Cars is located at the Alserkal Avenue in Dubai. It also has a Nostalgia Workshop, where classic cars are restored and maintained. The first inklings of the deal formulated when the founder of Nostalgia Classic Cars, Mazin Al Khatib ordered his first roadster from Backdraft Racing in 2006.

Along with Nostalgia Classic Cars, Backdraft Racing will also launch a one-make Backdraft Track Car Racing Series in the first quarter of 2020. This series will compete with the German and Italian sports car manufacturers with the first series planned for South Africa. This will be followed by series for Sweden, UK and UAE.
