2019 Chevrolet Blazer goes on sale in UAE, KSA & GCC in June
The all-new 2019 Chevrolet Blazer is set to go on sale in the UAE, Saudi Arabia and other GCC countries in June. The Blazer borrows design cues from Chevrolet’s performance model, the Camaro, to give it a sporty look and is available with two engine options.
The front fascia gets a massive honeycomb pattern grille, surrounded by sleek headlights and LED lamps. The side profile gets a prominent character line which swoops upwards and connects with the rear spoiler. The wheel arches are more pronounced and under it sits standard 18-inch alloy wheels, with 20-inch and 21-inch wheels available as an option.
Under the hood, the base engine is a 193 hp 2.5-litre turbocharged 4-cylinder engine, while there is a more powerful option, the 305 hp 3.6-litre V6 engine. Both units are mated to a 9-speed automatic transmission. The Traction Select system allows the driver to make alterations to the driving modes to account for the varying road conditions. In the all-wheel-drive model, the driver can disconnect the rear axle completely, so it can run only on FWD.
In the Blazer RS and Premier models, it uses “twin-clutch AWD technology” system which optimizes traction based on road conditions.
The 2019 Chevrolet Blazer will be available in showrooms in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and other GCC countries in June.
