2019 Genesis G70 debuts with proper manual gearbox

Genesis, Hyundai’s luxury marque unveils their 2019 G70 sedan and surprisingly, it is be offered with an optional 6-speed manual transmission.

The manual gear is offered only with the turbocharged 2.0-litre 4-cylinder engine which is good for 252 hp and 352 Nm. The bigger engine is the turbo 3.3-litre V6 unit that produces 365 hp and 510 Nm. The G70 comes as a RWD model by default and AWD can be added as an option for both the engines.

To rein the power, an optional Brembo brake set with four-piston calipers at the front and two-pistons at the back can be added. The safety tech list of the Genesis G70 is a pretty healthy list with Forward Collision Avoidance Assist with Pedestrian Detection, Lane Keeping Assist, Blind Spot Collision Warning, and Driver Attention Warning.

Unfortunately this option will most likely not be available in the UAE, Saudi Arabia or other GCC nations.
