2019 Volvo V60 wagon revealed

Volvo are making some of the best-looking cars in the luxury car market and they look to continue that trend with the recent unveiling of their all-new 2019 Volvo V60 wagon. The V60 wagon comes to rein back some of the Wagon cars’ popularity that was lost to SUVs in the recent times and on paper, it looks equipped just for that purpose.

The redesigned V60 wagon rides on the same Scalable Product Architecture (SPA) on which the XC60, XC90, S90 and the V90 are built on. The exterior follows similar design queues as the bigger V90 wagon.

Being a Volvo, the V60 wagon loses none of the safety systems. A City Safety system which brakes the car if it detects an obstacle across the path and a Pilot System which automatically controls the steering, braking, and acceleration of the car in certain situations are offered.

Under the hood, the Volvo V60 wagon will get two different powertrains. A 2.0-litre turbocharged 4-cylinder model with 250 hp on tap will power the lower T5 models while the higher T6 models will get the 2.0-litre 4-cylinder engine which is both supercharged and turbocharged. This engine produces 316 hp which is delivered through an all-wheel drive system. As Volvo intends to electrify all its lineup, the 2019 S60 Wagon will have two hybrid options as well. The most powerful of those, the T8 Hybrid produces 385 hp.

The V60 wagon could make it the UAE, Saudi Arabia and other GCC markets sometime early next year.
