So we got a 2018 Renault Megane 2.0

The Renault Megane was never a major player in the compact segment. Blame it on lack of awareness, brand preconceptions or just lack of desirability, but it just never caught on in the GCC (except with one of our people, who actually owns one). There’s an all-new model in town now. Will it make waves?

The styling is spot-on this time. With unique LED lighting front and back as well as large wheels, the Megane sports a more cohesive design than anything from the Japanese.

Inside, they haven’t skimped on the materials, at least in the top-spec model. It’s equipped like a more expensive car.

The drive feels a lot like the previous-gen Megane, although it is unlikely to put off target customers. More on that in the full review.
