2019 Subaru Ascent crossover debuts as brand’s biggest model
With seats for eight people in three rows, the all-new 2019 Subaru Ascent SUV is the brand’s biggest offering yet. The production version of the Subaru Ascent was revealed at the 2017 Los Angeles Motor Show.
The Ascent rides on the same Subaru Global platform that underpins the Impreza and Crosstrek, albeit a revised version of it. Subaru promises that this revision has brought down the noise, vibration and harshness due to stiffened joints. The Ascent takes design cues from the Forester and toughens them up with powerful lines that tailor it for application on the larger Ascent.
The Subaru Ascent is filled with gizmos like the EyeSight Driver Assistance suite and three-zone automatic climate control. There are a 120-volt power socket and eight USB ports littered inside the cabin which also gets spotted with 19 cup holders. The seating capacity of the Ascent is eight as standard, but on all models except the base version, a seven-seat layout with captain seats for the second row can be opted for no extra cost.
An all-new motor that befits the Ascent’s fresh identity is a 2.4-litre turbocharged four-cylinder boxer motor that delivers 260 hp and 375 Nm of torque. An updated version of Subaru’s CVT gearbox with simulated eight-speed mode channels this grunt to the road through Subaru’s All-Wheel-Drive system which, on the Ascent, comes with Active Torque Vectoring.
The 2019 Subaru Ascent should reach UAE, KSA and other GCC showrooms by the end of 2018.

why have you not used the color turquoise for this wonderful new car. The blue color you have chosen is not nearly as attractive as say a Tiffany blue turquoise. None of the car companies have included the color unless it is on a small sports car. I think that the country is tired of all of the beiges, silvers, reds, blacks, dark purply red, etc. I think that the colors have been chosen by men. Don’t you realize that it is the women in a household who chooses the color of a car? Thanks for giving me the opportunity to sound off. Is it possible to have colors that could be alternative selections as an upgrade? when I go on different car web-sites it is almost impossible to find the exterior color selections. That is the first selection that I look for. I hope this e-mail makes a difference. I would even be willing to drive a turquoise car to see if other would be interested in the same car. Of course, I live in Florida but summer in MA.
