Dubai Ambulance launches pink emergency vehicle for women

Dubai Ambulance has announced the launch of a pink emergency vehicle that will specialise in transporting women and children.

The fully-outfitted Ford Explorer will transport women who are injured in an incident or in labour. It will also be used to transport children under 12.

The launch of this new ladies-only initiative is still undergoing a trial run and will currently operate only in Deira between 11 am to 11 pm.

Working with Latifa Hospital, the car is “manned” by fully-trained female paramedics and drivers.
