Chevrolet introduces online car buying in the UAE

Chevrolet Middle East and Al Ghandi Automotive has launched what they say is the UAE’s first 24/7 online car purchasing service, dubbed Shop Click Drive.

Chevrolet quotes recent Google research in the UAE that suggests 91% of consumers start their car shopping online (gee, we wonder what site they use), and that apparently 50% will consider buying a car online. Shop Click Drive is targeted at this consumer base to help make the car buying process more convenient.

Shop Click Drive enables UAE consumers to choose a specific vehicle from Al Ghandi’s online-listed inventory, estimate their loan payments, reserve a vehicle or purchase the vehicle completely online, and then schedule final delivery by tow truck.

We are told that a car can now be fully bought with a credit card as well (which is something we tried to do with a couple of Japanese brands, but were limited to Dhs 25,000). There is also an online discount that applies on cars bought via the website.

Al Ghandi Automotive is the first to run this pilot program in the Middle East, and can be found at http://chevrolet.alghandi.com/shop-online/.

  1. I checked the website out of curiosity, what a stupid site, How would they expect me to pay 360 k for a corvette without even putting a photo for the interior.
