Toyota RAV4 Adventure version revealed

At the 2017 Chicago Motor Show, Toyota showcased a toughened up “Adventure” version of the RAV4 crossover.
The changes include new black 18-inch wheels, black headlight surrounds, new fender flares and a slightly lifted suspension. The Adventure badges, roof rails, and fog light housings are also finished in black. The interior gets treated with new trim panels, all-weather floor mats, 120-volt power outlet in the cargo area and some door sill protectors.
The powertrain will continue to be the 176 hp  2.5-litre inline-4 unit. This will be mated to the same 6-speed automatic unit to drive the powers to the front wheels through a limited slip differential or all the four wheels. Both FWD and AWD versions will come with the Tow Prep Package as standard. This adds an upgraded radiator and coolers for oil and transmission fluid.
The RAV4 Adventure will come in September in the United States.
