2018 Peugeot 2008 crossover debuts
French car manufacturer Peugeot has updated their 2008 crossover (yes, it’s the model name, not the model year) for this year and they have taken the covers off the new car quietly in Australia.
The front of the Peugeot 2008 has been reworked to give it a new face. The new bumper, dual grilles, and the uniquely-shaped headlamps are new. The humpback roof with roof rails gives it a taut profile. The rear receives a set of new tail lamps and a few changes to the bumper. New 16-inch alloys will be offered with the base Active variant while the top Allure and GT-line variants will wear their rubber on 17-inchers.
Inside, the 2008 features all the amenities that you expect from a modern car. An infotainment system that supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, reversing camera, auto headlights and wipers, dual-zone air conditioning, the lot.
Under the hood, a 1.2-litre turbocharged 3-cylinder petrol engine replaces the current lineup of petrol and diesel units. The engine churns out 108 hp and 205 Nm of torque. Out went the manual transmission as a 6-speed automatic box will be the only choice.
It will hit the Australian showrooms in February, while we expect it to show up in UAE, KSA and GCC showrooms after the summer as a 2018 model.
