So we got a 2017 Volkswagen Passat
The American-built VW Passat got a minor facelift last year, having been on the market since 2012. We thought it’d have a bigger impact on the midsize sedan scene, given that it easily has the most cabin space in this segment, but key features were missing that may have caused it to become an also-ran. Several of those issues have now been addressed.
Externally, the front end has a bit more character now, even if the overall shape hasn’t changed. Keen-eyed viewers may notice parking sensors now too, something that was inexplicably missing in the pre-facelift model.
Inside, there are minor trim changes and technology upgrades, but the main selling point remains the immense cabin space.
The Passat is a much more competent entry in the midsize class and deserves a look if you’re in the market for commuter sedans. More on that in the full review.

Another boring looking vehicle from VW – even having it in electric blue does it not favors.
made for accountants not based in GCC (being depreciation disasters)

I think we didn’t get the time to use it as a people carrier.
