2017 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 officially revealed
Chevrolet didn’t wait too long into the Camaro’s lifespan this time to reveal the all-new 2017 ZL1. It comes with more power than the previous model, along with a new transmission.
The exterior of the Camaro ZL1 has a more aggressive look, with a new grille, larger front splitter, new hood with a heat extractor, wider front fenders, new side skirts and bigger rear wing. It rides on 20-inch aluminium wheels, wrapped with Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercar tyres.
The interior remains largely the same aside from the Recaro sports seats, flat-bottomed steering wheel, new shifter covered in suede upholstery, red contrast stitching and lots of ZL1 badging all over the cockpit.
Under the hood is the supercharged 6.2-litre “LT4” V8 engine, good enough to produce 640 hp and 867 Nm of torque. Power is delivered via a 6-speed manual or an all-new 10-speed automatic transmission. No performance numbers have been released yet.
Other performance mods include the “Magnetic Ride” suspension, Brembo brakes, electronic limited-slip differential, Performance Traction Management system, a Driver Mode Selector, and a launch control function.
The 2017 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 could arrive in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and other GCC countries by the end of the year.

I had the ZL1 2015 that had a transmission. failure at 15k klms but the dealer made a deal for me and I traded it in for the C7 Z51 3lt Corvette 2015 which I loved as it was next gen compared to a C6 2009 that I also owned but I still preferred the ZL1 as its an every day out of my way car. Love the new shape so going to order that up soon as I’ve just sold my corvette after only 8 months from new. The Camaro also,used to shake my house when I started it up…
