Nissan Qashqai and X-Trail “premium” concepts debut
To celebrate the sales success of the Nissan Qashqai and the Nissan X-Trail achieved in Europe, Nissan has introduced these “premium” concepts. They are personalised examples of the X-Trail and the Qashqai which come with unique colours and body parts.
The Qashqai is designed by the Nissan Design Europe (NDE). It gets a matte black treatment all over its body except the wheel arches, window line, headlight cluster and roof rails, where golden copper finish is used to highlight the matte black base colour. The interior of the car is finished using soft white nappa leather. The copper gold treatment exists in the interior as well in the form of the weaves of the upholstery. “Black Satin” chrome and “Liquid Black” gloss finishes are also used for further personalisation.
The larger X-Trail takes a lighter approach to the body shade in the form of a matte white paint coat. The deep matte black hood and roof offer some contrast, with golden copper skid plates. The machined 20-inch wheels are different from that of the Qashqai’s ones. The interior of the X-Trail is finished in tan and black. Black carbon fibre and matte chrome black is used to finish the dashboard and door trim.
It’s possible these colours will be offered as custom trim on models in Europe, as is offered on the Juke here in the GCC. Only the X-Trail currently on sale in the UAE, while the smaller Qashqai was discontinued a couple of years ago.

The X-trail looks aftermarket tacky both inside and outside. The Qashqai on the other hand looks less tacky on the outside.

It needs a GT-R engine coupled to 6speed manual or the ecoboost V6 engine in the explorer sport coupled to a 8speed Auto.
