2016 Mercedes-AMG C43 Coupe breaks cover
Mercedes-Benz has revealed their latest addition to the AMG line — the Mercedes-AMG C43 Coupe. This will be the company’s first offering following their decision to shelve the ‘AMG Sport’ brand and re-release models as entry-level Mercedes-AMG cars. The C43 AMG will debut at the Geneva Motor Show next month.
Apart from losing two doors, the coupe incorporates a similar front fascia to that of the sedan. The car will feature large bumper intakes, blacked-out mirror caps, matte iridium silver accents and a sports exhaust system. The coupe will also receive a trunk-mounted spoiler, rear diffuser and 18-inch alloys.
The C43 Coupe will be powered by a twin-turbo 3.0-litre V6 engine producing 362 hp and 520 Nm of torque. It will be mated to a 9-speed automatic transmission, which will put down power to the wheels through a rear-biased all-wheel-drive system. The car will do the 0-100 kph run in a claimed 4.6 seconds before hitting the limiter at 250 kph.
The interior remains similar to its four-door sibling too, also incorporating aluminium accents, red seat belts, a revised instrument cluster and a new flat-bottomed steering wheel.
The car will also be equipped with ‘AMG Ride Control’ sport suspension and ‘AMG Dynamic Select’ system with comfort, eco, sport, sport plus, and individual modes
The Mercedes-AMG C43 will be lined-up directly against the Audi S5 and the BMW 4-Series. More details are expected following its debut at Geneva next week. The car should make its way into the UAE, Oman, Saudi Arabia and the rest of the GCC by the end of this year.

So we will have two AMGs, an entry level and top level like S and RS models in Audi.
OK if the price gap is responsible I will say good move from Mercedes.
