Lexus LC 500h breaks cover ahead of Geneva debut
Following up on the successful debut of the V8-powered LC 500 in Detroit is Lexus, as they give us a peek into their latest hybrid offering — the LC 500h. Its official unveiling is slated to take place at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show next month.
The sports coupe carries forward the LF-LC design language, remaining almost identical to its petrol sibling aside from some new “hybrid” badging on the sides.
Lexus hasn’t revealed any details on the coupe’s powertrain, but sources suggest that the LC 500h will combine a 3.5-litre V6 producing 308 hp and a 217 hp electric-motor to amass a total of 470 hp — identical to its petrol variant.
Lexus will also introduce their new hybrid powertrain dubbed-“Lexus Multi Stage Hybrid System” with the LC 500h. The system is expected to make its way to the newer LS-Series sedans.
More information on the LC 500h is expected to flow in following its official debut at the Geneva Motor Show.
