2016 Bentley Continental GT arrives in UAE

The 2016 Bentley Continental GT facelift has gone on sale in the UAE. The new model gets design updates and features, along with a power upgrade for the 12-cylinder model.

Under the hood, the significant update is that power jumps from 567 hp to 582 hp in the twin-turbocharged W12 engine, while at the same time improve fuel efficiency by 5-percent to 14.1 l/100 km, thanks to its new variable displacement system. The system shuts off six of its 12 cylinders to reduce fuel consumption.

Exterior upgrades on the 2016 Continental GT include changes to the front bumper and front grille. It gets new front fenders as well, which features new vents on them. The rear bumper and boot lid gets an update. The V8 S and GT Speed get a new rear diffuser design to differentiate the performance-focused models.

New alloy wheel designs has been added as well, along with three new exterior colours to choose from.

The interior offers new upholstery designs and options. Driver controls are all-new, with an optional sports-orientated steering wheel and larger gear-shift paddles available. The driver’s instrument panel receives new dials and graphics and the interior is now illuminated with LEDs.

For the V8 and V8 S coupe models, a new hidden storage compartment is fitted between the rear seats, capable of accommodating and charging electronic devices including iPads.

The 2016 Bentley Continental GT is now available through Al Habtoor Motors at the Dubai and Abu Dhabi showrooms.
