2016 Jaguar F-Pace officially revealed
Jaguar has finally officially taken the wraps off the 2016 F-Pace, the company’s first ever crossover, at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show.
Looking very similar to the C-X17 concept, the F-Pace sits on the same aluminium-intensive platform as the XE and XF sedans. It is about 4,731 mm long, with a 2,874 mm wheelbase and a very decent 650-litre trunk capacity.
Inside, the F-Pace gets a 10.2-inch touchscreen display, which is part of the infotainment system powered by a quad core processor and SSD. Up to eight devices can be connected thanks to the hot-spot WiFi support while the navigation system can be displayed in the 12.3-inch instrument cluster which includes 3D maps.
Petrol engines on offer include the rear-wheel drive 237 hp 2.0-litre 4-cylinder turbocharged unit, while there are two all-wheel drive 3.0-litre supercharged V6 motors, producing 335 hp and 375 hp. They all get the 8-speed automatic transmission. The 375 hp version can do a 0-100 kph time of about 5.3 seconds and hit an electronically-limited top speed of 250 kph.
Diesel options include a 178 hp 2.0-litre turbocharged engine and a twin-turbocharged 3.0-litre V6 which produces about 300 hp.
The 2016 Jaguar F-Pace should arrive in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and other GCC countries sometime next year.
