So we got a 2016 Land Rover Discovery Sport
It’s a natural progression. The Evoque defined Range Rover’s new styling direction. Now all Range Rovers share the same styling crossover-like cues. Land Rover wanted to share the love, so now the Discovery Sport, a replacement for the LR2, drives onto the scene, looking very much like a part of the Range Rover family. After driving it in icy Iceland, we finally take a look at it on our dry local roads.
Aside from truly being a handsome compact crossover, its familial ties make it much more desirable than its predecessors. There are absolutely no bad angles on this trucklet, even while finding enough space inside for three rows of seating.
Our top-spec test car did not have the optional third row though, but it did come loaded with features, such as the first use of their new infotainment touchscreen. The cabin also has leatherette padding all around that somewhat mimics its pricier siblings.
Being a European car, it drives as well as any of its rivals, with the added benefit of having some semblance of off-road ability. More on that in the full review.

I like everything about it except the AC vents 😀

the dash looks plasticky…or maybe its just the color. Not so luxurious.

Looks damned close to a Ford Explorer!
I am waiting for the diesel engine for towing.
Can’t drive it with a 4 banger for towing….

The new design looked fab on the evoque, looked ok on the new range rover, boring on the rr sport and now obsolete on this vehicle.
A little more character would have helped i think..

It is good enough but will be better will the new diesel engine from Jagua.

I quite like my Disco Sport. Different to my A7, but I actually like driving this car. Never an issue on the motorways and road noise is minimal.
Not done what people call true off trading, but attacked a few sand dunes, in North Wakes and done the grass verges / general fields etc.
Yeah, I like and I do smile when I drive it.
