Ugly!!!! What’s going on with Honda… Koreans are light yrs ahead of the Japs… From Honda to Toyota to Nissan…
Am a Honda fan, but I have to admit.. They need to change…
Nabajyoti
Looks like a cross between current Honda CRV and a Chevrolet Traverse..
marc
agree, ugly. looks like a van

I bought the new Kia Sorento. It looks better than this even if its just Kia. And the price is very good w/ 5 year warranty.
I just realized there are lots of Kia haters here even if they never drove one…
Wake up people Hyundai Kia is now the fourth largest car maker in the world….bigger than nissan and honda combined!
marc
agree, the sorenta looks better and seems the better buy overall — enjoy

@sadiq
whats the spec on your `KIA?.. do let us know of your experience with it.
The earlier generation didnt too well here in UAE

kia and hyundai are both made with low quality materials but they look good and have lots of options. i had hyundai genesis in 2012 i sold it in less than a year. yes it has 5 years of warranty but whats the point when ur car is always at workshop in that one year i changed steering wheels in the first 6 months than the head light burned and then the ABS had some problem yes they fix it but really all those problem in one year.

@RT
Had my hyundai elantra for 3 years now. no problem at all. i have not sent it to the workshop except for the regular services. they may have some faulty units (like the one you got) but it doesnt mean that the jap cars are 100% fault-proof.

Hi Sadiq,
I’ve been researching several SUV/Crossovers in the 130 to 150k AED price range and found the new Kia Sorento 2016 model the best value for money as it is priced very competitively yet with all the bells and whistles which cost a premium with the competitors.
However, I have yet to test drive the new Sorento and I would appreciate your thoughts as you already own one. The other brands I’ve been thinking of are Nissan Pathfinder and Ford Explorer.
I plan to arrive at a decision before around Ramadan.
Thanks for your help.
Sadiq
I test drove the pathfinder and found it a bit sluggish. Must be the CVT. Also it is bulky and quite heavy. And honestly I don’t like the looks.
Ford Explorer is also good however the finishes are not as good as the Kia.
Kia Sorento has a good 3.3 engine 290 HP, a little less than the Ford but it is much lighter. It has the best fuel economy among the bunch.
I rate Kia’s interior the best among the other two. Very quite inside. Plus at 130K you get everything, 360 cam, cross traffic alert, lane departure, the biggest sunroof, heated/cooled seats, handsfree tailgate operation, etc. which the others dont have at this price. 3DSatnav is included too.
cruiser
they killed the pilot that was half alive !
hands down honda

How much cost kia sorento ?
haroon
the ongoing pilot is a nice vehicle overall..
in terms of seating capacity, decent engine, elegant suv design
They seem to have downgraded to make it look like an ugly crossover with very down front lip,, similar to pathfinder,, and then explorer and acadia, but these two still look better than the two former ones
haroon
I think now its time to buy mpv – vans
like the new carnival and odyssey, if the purpose is people-hauling.
Because the new carnival and odyssey, looks quite elegant in that segmant, and you will have soothing mind after-purchase that they are not suv’s.
Sadiq
Kia Sorento mid spec 3.3 V6 AWD 105K
Lowest spec 86900 AED, Top spec 129K
Marcus
guys you have the same names. dont tell you will have the same Kia Sorento…
This pilot now looks like a fatter CRV which makes it even uglier.
Ajmal
Thanks Sadiq
Ajmal
Sadiq which color you opted white or brown most advertised? Iam reviewing its interesting
Sadiq
I got the platinum graphite 3.3 top spec.
sarfraz
Pilot looks like Accord and Odyessy had a baby together. They made it like a bigger van then Odyessy.
ajmal
sadiq, nice i think in some features missed here compare to korean/ US imports like UVO tech is available in top spec ?
Sadiq
UVO is not offered in GCC. they replaced that button with Qibla.
It has ventilated and heated seats though and powered thigh support
Ajmal
Sadiq, did u ask why it’s disabled and major reasons for it
It’s on of the selling points in tech features. Don’t know if sales exec have an
Logic answer
nawaf
more like a van and even uglier than honda prev. generation
Julius
The HONDA emblem looks nice………… 🙂
rt
@mo
yes jap cars are not 100% fault proof but compare to Korean cars they are much more reliable plus the resale value for Japanese cars are much better
fawz
If they are reliable why cant they follow kia hyundais 5 year warranty?
Farhan
Did Honda hire the Pathfinder’s designer ?
Jerry
What’s up HONDA!!
The side profile looks a copy of the Chevy Traverse!!!!!! especially the rear windows….Front profile is that of CRV.
The Pilot has well and truely lost its identity
