2015 RAM 1500 Rebel unveiled in Detroit
The 2015 Ram 1500 Rebel made its debut at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit this week.
Two engine sizes will be on offer for the 1500 Rebel. One is the 3.6-litre V6 Pentastar engine, the other a 5.7-litre V8 Hemi motor, both mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission. The V6 produces 305 hp and 364 Nm of torque, while the V8 churns out about 395 hp and 555 Nm of torque.
The Rebel will be offered only as a crew-cab. Exterior-wise the front gets a powder-coated front bumper, a silver skid-plate, two recovery hooks, LED-infused headlights, a new grille and a modified hood. It also gets fender flares, a back cover, 17-inch matte-black aluminium wheels, RAM-branded tailgate and chrome dual exhaust system.
Modifications for off-road ability include a 1-inch lift kit, Bilstein shocks, a softer rear stabilizer bar and an air suspension system, to give it a ground clearance of 10.3 inches.
The 2015 Ram 1500 Rebel is going on sale in the United States in the second half of the year. It is not known yet if it will make its way to the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and other GCC countries.
Keep track of the latest prices and updates in the Ram buyer guide.
