2017 Ford GT unveiled at Detroit Auto Show

Ford GT 4

The new Ford GT has been officially revealed at the 2015 North American International Auto Show. Production is expected to begin late 2016.

Under the hood, the rear-wheel drive GT will be getting a twin-turbocharged 3.5-litre V6 Ecoboost engine, which is set to develop more than 600 hp, via a dual-clutch automatic transmission.

Inside, it gets an F1-inspired steering wheel, a fully digital and configurable instrument cluster, along with Ford’s SYNC 3 infotainment system.

Anchored by a carbon-fibre passenger cell, the GT features aluminium front and rear subframes encapsulated in structural carbon-fibre body panels.

Production of the new Ford GT has been set to begin at the end of next year, so expect it to see in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and other GCC countries sometime in 2017.
