2015 Peugeot 308 GT revealed
Peugeot has revealed a sportier version of the 308, the 2015 308 GT. Set to debut at the 2014 Paris Motor Show, the GT will be available in hatchback and station wagon body styles.
The exterior gets minor visual upgrades such as LED headlights and turning lights in the front and a black diffuser kit for the rear, along with twin exhaust tips. The Peugeot lion badge also moves from the bonnet on to the front grille.
Under the hood, two engine choices will be available. One is the turbocharged 4-cylinder 1.6-litre motor which produces 202 hp and 285 Nm of torque, mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox. The other is a 4-cylinder 2.0-litre turbocharged diesel unit, which produces 178 hp and 400 Nm of torque.
The suspension has been retuned to be more sportier and the throttle response has also been improved.
Sales begin in Europe in October after its official release at the Paris Motor Show. The 2015 Peugeot 308 GT could make its way to the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and other GCC countries by next year. Most likely only the turbocharged petrol engine model will make it in this region.
